ROUTE DESCRIPTION
Get ready for a truly unique gravel experience: Coast2Coast Jutland Gravel Ride – an epic journey from the west coast to the east coast through some of Denmark’s most beautiful nature.
The ride starts in Søndervig, where the route follows Ringkøbing Fjord along Cycle Route 4 toward Ringkøbing. From here, we continue along the fjord before the route turns east toward Kibæk.
Along the way, we pass through several large plantations, including Harrild Heath and Gludsted Plantation. At the halfway point, the terrain changes as we move into the forests of Central Jutland, featuring beautiful hills and lakes. The final part of the ride follows Brabrand Lake before reaching Aarhus.

Feed Zones:
- Kibæk Hallen, after 54 km – energy drink, water, cake, and fruit
- Dantra, Hjøllund, after 100 km – sandwiches, cake, fruit, water, soda, coffee, and energy drink
- Rye, after 145 km – cake, fruit, water, soda, energy drink
START IN SØNDERVIG
The start takes place in Søndervig, where fresh coffee and muffins are served to all participants. You will also receive your start number. Fruit is available to take with you, and you can fill your bottles with water or energy drink.

- 09:00 – Gravel – expected average speed 18–22 km/h
- 09:30 – Road – expected average speed 20–25 km/h
- 10:00 – Gravel – expected average speed 23–26 km/h
- 10:30 – Road – expected average speed 25–30 km/h
- 11:00 – Gravel – expected average speed 26–30+ km/h
- 11:30 – Road – expected average speed 30–30+ km/h
Bag Transport
At the start in Søndervig, a van will be available for your bag, which will be transported to the finish area in Aarhus.

Changing clothes follows “Belgian style” – outdoors. There are no shower or changing facilities at either start or finish.
Ride Half a Coast2Coast
If a full Coast2Coast is too much, you can join halfway at the major depot in Hjøllund. From here, you can ride either 100 km road or 80 km gravel toward Aarhus.
Start for Half C2C: Start number pickup at the depot in Hjøllund from 12:30

The start for the Half C2C is around 13:30, or once the full-distance riders have arrived in Hjøllund and are ready to continue.
