COAST2COAST JUTLAND
After a one-year break, Coast2Coast Jutland is back!
On Saturday, August 22, the Belgian Cycling Club once again invites you to Coast2Coast Jutland – a unique cycling experience across Jutland.
Look forward to a truly special day on the road, great company, and unforgettable kilometers from coast to coast.
You can participate on either a road bike or a gravel bike.
Experience Denmark’s Most Beautiful Nature by Bike
Join us on an unforgettable cycling journey across Jutland! Our recreational ride takes you from the windswept, rugged west coast to the charming, hilly east coast. Along the way, you’ll be enchanted by some of Denmark’s most breathtaking landscapes, and to top it all off, we finish at Tangkrogen with a beautiful view over Aarhus Bay.
The Start: A Pearl of the West Coast
We begin at the North Sea, where the fresh ocean air and crashing waves give you the energy to start your journey. From here, we ride through dune landscapes, idyllic villages, and rolling fields, enjoying unique and undisturbed nature all the way.
Central Jutland – A Journey Through the Heart of Denmark
As we move into Central Jutland, we encounter varied terrain with lush forests, beautiful lakes, and meadows lining the route. Take a break and enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many picturesque rest stops while taking in the surrounding scenery.
After a year’s break, we are ready once again. This year we offer two routes across Jutland:
-
A 200 km road route with 1,500 meters of elevation
-
A 175 km gravel route with 850 meters of elevation
Both routes take you through the flat West Jutland landscape, over the Central Jutland ridge, and onward to Aarhus. Along the way, you’ll experience some of Denmark’s most amazing scenery – so look forward to a unique and unforgettable journey across Jutland.
Both routes are also available in shorter versions, starting at the major depot in Hjøllund.
Ride Half a Coast2Coast
If a full Coast2Coast is too much, you can join halfway at the major depot in Hjøllund. From here, you can ride either 100 km road or 80 km gravel toward Aarhus.
Start for Half C2C: Start number pickup at the depot in Hjøllund from 12:30
Address: Vejlevej 7, 7362 Hampen
The start for the Half C2C is around 13:30, or once the full-distance riders have arrived in Hjøllund and are ready to continue.
Race Organization
New this year: you can ride at your own pace from Søndervig to Aarhus. There will be 3 road start groups and 3 gravel start groups. Participants expecting to spend the most time on the route start first, while those aiming for a faster ride start last. This helps reduce the time difference between the first and last finishers.
The event is held according to Danish traffic laws, and all participants must show consideration for each other and for traffic.
There will be 3 feed zones along the way, where you can refuel and stock up for the rest of the ride.
The road route will be signposted, while the gravel route must be followed via GPS. Both routes will be sent to participants one week before the event.
Feed Zones:
-
-
Kibæk Hallen, after 54 km – energy drink, water, cake, and fruit (road and gravel)
